MIDLAND DOBERMANN CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

ON 12°’ NOVEMBER 2006

AT HARVEY HADDON SPORTS CENTRE. NOTTINGHAM

It was a great pleasure to be judging dobermanns again in England after an absence of four years The venue was a good one with plenty of ring space and good lighting. The Show ran smoothly which indicates an efficient Committee. I would like to thank them all for their attention to detail and my Ring Steward in particular who kept the dogs moving into the ring in timely order.
I found type to he very mixed. Size also to vary. Many dogs were not in the best of coat condition, with open coats. bald patches and lumps and spots. Several of the browns were very mottled in colour on their heads which is most unusual. I found two dogs with only four lower incisors and two others with missing premolars. Heads on many dogs were too bulky in cheek and too wide in skull. Large cars predomainated in many, mainly the browns.
Having had my critical phase I would like to say however that I did find some very nice dogs in my main winners and my BIS dog IR.CH. SUPETAS ENUF’S ENUF FOR COOLEY is quite stunning.
