Midland Dobermann Club Ruby Anniversary Open Show 10/06/07

I would like to thank the Midland Dobermann Club Committee for inviting me to judge their Ruby Anniversary Show. As usual the show was very well run in an ideal venue.

 Class 1 VD (4 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: COX’S JADENBURG APOLLO FROM ZELOVIAK JW
- Standard sized Black and Rust Dog presented in good firm condition, ribs deep and well sprung, strong slightly sloping topline, well muscled hindquarters with correct turn of stifle this enabled him to display strong rear drive and rotary action as he moved around the ring. Best Veteran in Show
2nd: CRÈME’S IZRALIGHT FRED ASTAIR JW - Black and Rust Dog, well developed forechest, correct wedge shape head, lean neck in proportion with the body leading into strong topline although not as straight as the class winner, well muscled hindquarters, with correct turn of stifle.
3rd: BOSTOCK’S REMESCA BEST KEPT SECRET AT MAVSON

1st:EVANS,BYRNES AND BUTLER’S AMAZON TALK OF THE DEVIL

Brown and Rust young dog, very mature for his age,  well arched compact feet, good round bone, elbow lies close to brisket, good wedge shape head and lean neck in proportion with the body, strong slightly sloping topline, Free balanced movement with good reach in forequarters.This young dog was really up on his toes when challenging for Best Puppy in show.  Best Puppy In Show  

Class 4 JD (5 Entries) Abs: 2
1st:ALEY’S  MEMPHIS DREEMACHINE -
Tall elegant Black and Rust dog, well developed forechest, deep well sprung ribs reaching to the elbows. good tuck up. Long and lean neck carried with nobility. Free balanced movement.  I understand he achieved his junior warrant on the day subject to KC confirmation, well done.

2nd:KINDLEYSIDE’S JANZINS LOOSE CANNON - Standard sized compact black and rust dog, well laid back shoulders, short firm topline,  A little lazy on the move.

Class 5 YD (5 Entries) Abs: 2
1st:CRÈME’S  IZRALIGHT NEW YEAR DREAM
- Really liked this black and rust dog, presented a pleasing picture when standing. Muscular and elegant with well set body, legs perfectly straight and parallel to each other from elbow to pastern, well developed forechest. Blunt wedge shaped head in proportion with the body complemented with a solid dark eye. Strong slightly sloping topline well filed croup and strong muscular rear quarters. Pushed hard in the challenge – just lost out on maturity.

2nd:WEDGBURY’S  DRIFTLANDS FRIDAYS CHILD
- A lot to like about this black and rust dog very clean elegant outline, nothing overdone. Good forequarter angulation, elbows lie close to the body. Blunt wedge shaped head and lean neck. Would like more turn of stifle and stronger thigh, moved very straight on a lose lead.

1st:RAINBOW AND HAYE’S  OTHERTON RAINBOW WARRIOR AT NYTRAC
. Standard sized compact muscular dog, well developed forechest, deep well sprung ribs, adequate layback of shoulder, excellent muscled rear quarters with a good turn of stifle, well filled croup and good tail set. Free balanced movement, displaying strong rear drive. 

2nd: ANDRE’S ARBRODIN KNIGHT OF LEGACY JW  - Another quality dog with many of the same attributes as my 1st place. Slightly longer in loin unlucky to meet 1.

- Black and rust dog, wedge shaped head complemented with a dark almond shaped eye. Strong slightly sloping topline. Moved with good reach in forequarters and driving power in hindquarters.
 
2nd:BARLOW AND EKIN’S FERRERO CHOCOLATE SOLDIER JW-
  Brown and rust dog I admired as a youngster, however disappointed me on the day, he appeared to lack body and tone.  This dog is well constructed with a nice wedge shaped head and good length of muzzle.
 
Class 9 LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st:PARSON’S  OTTIA GAELIC STORM
- Compact well bodied Brown and rust dog, well developed forechest, deep and well sprung ribs reaching to elbow. Well filled croup and muscular rear quarters, strong hocks.

2nd:SHARP’S MARTIFERS THE JOKER JW - Very elegant Black and rust dog, good length of neck sweeping into firm slightly sloping topline and correct tail set. Moved free and straight.

Class 10 OD (4 Entries) Abs: 2  Two top quality males both presented in superb condition.
1st:ROCK’S GAINDYKE YUMA VON MANSTY -
Standard sized square black and rust dog with free character, bold and alert.  Muscular and elegant with a well set body, ribs deep and well sprung, good tuck up. Nice wedge shaped head with good length of muzzle and neat set ears. Strong neck leading into firm slightly sloping topline, well filled croup, muscular hindquarters, to be critical would like more turn of stifle. Free balanced movement. Best dog and Best of Breed

2nd:MYCROFT’S SUPETA'S WICKED WIZARD AT SONAKINT JW
Similar attributes as class winner.  This black and rust male has a short firm slightly sloping topline, well developed and muscular hindquarters; well bent stifle, could possibly change positions on another day.  Res Best Dog.

- A standard sized black and rust bitch with rich markings, well arched compact feet, good round bone, lean neck in proportion with the body. Well developed and muscular rear quarters with strong short hocks.
  
2nd:PARSON’S AMAZON LUV'S A RISKY BUSINESS AT OTTIA - Another quality black and rust bitch, well developed forechest, well angulated forequarters, strong slightly sloping topline, well developed and muscular hindquarters.

1st:SWAIN’S JANZINS FIRE CRACKER AT LIASON
- Sympathetically handled raw young puppy of only 6 months of age, carrying a little puppy fat. Well developed forechest for one so young, good layback of shoulder, good turn of stifle, she really enjoyed her day out.

- Standard sized black and rust girl very typical of this kennel, good round bone, well developed forechest, good layback of shoulder. Well developed rear quarters, steady balanced movement Best puppy bitch and reserve best puppy in show.

2nd: WALL’S AMAZON SWEETEST FEELINGS FOR JARJARJINX
 - Litter sister to class winner with many of the same attributes, a little finer boned.

- A very elegant young black and rust bitch presented in excellent muscular condition, well arched compact feet, adequate forequarter angulation, strong neck in proportion with the body, wedge shaped head with defined markings. Strong slightly sloping topline held well on the move. Well handled. Rest Best Bitch

  Standard sized short coupled black and rust bitch, well let down to the elbows, good tuck up. Strong straight topline, good length of muzzle, to be critical would like a stronger skull.

Standard sized black and rust bitch, well developed forechest, adequate forequarter angulation, strong clean neck in proportion with the body. Well developed rear quarters, free balanced movement with good rear drive. Slight skirt makes her appear a little heavy.

2nd:SMITH AND MARSHALL’S JANDAYA LET'S DANCE - A very elegant black and rust bitch finer boned than the class winner, wedge shaped head, good length of muzzle parallel to the top of the skull. Lean neck, good firm topline, free movement on a lose lead.

 Class 20 OB (8 Entries) Abs: 0 A pleasure to judge a class of top quality exhibits.
1st:GRIFFITH’S JOKAMILY SCHIMEEL AT AMIOUS JW
-Brown and Rust bitch I have always admired, a little taller than I would normally go for however everything is in proportion.  Good round bone , well developed forechest, adequate angulated forequarters, strong neck, wedge shaped head, good length of muzzle parallel to the top of the skull and clear rust markings, strong slightly sloping topline, powerful rear quarters with adequate turn of stifle, moved well with drive on a loose lead,  Best Bitch and Reserve best in show.


2nd:TINSLEY’S SHERREBENCA AMARETTO JW -
Another quality black and rust bitch I have judged as a youngster.  Very bold and alert, good bone and substance, good forequarters with well laid back shoulders, nice clean lean neck, good wedge shaped head complemented with dark eyes, good hindquarters and turn of stifle, moved very well with good rear rotary drive.
