MIDLAND DOBERMANN CLUB

OPEN SHOW   13TH JUNE 2010-07-18

OBEDIENCE
I was invited to judge the obedience classes at the Midland Dobermann Club Open Show
on Sunday 13th June 2010.

I should like to thank the committee for their hospitality, and for the forethought which had gone into the preparation of the ring.

I was pleased with the entry, which although not large, produced some quality rounds.  Everyone who had entered turned up on the day and worked, which was gratifying.
Special thanks to Chief Steward Andy ball for ensuring things ran smoothly.
My results were:-
SPECIAL PRE PRE BEGINNERS:
1st:  Layton’s SUPETA’S C’EST LA VIE FOR KAISTART
Smart round from a dog that’s usually “Strictly Schutzhund”.  Any points lost were, I think
due to unfamiliarity with the exercises.  With a little polishing this bitch would turn heads in
Open Competition.
2nd:  Davidson’s SLINJO WISH COME TRUE
3rd:  Walton’s REMESCA’S CRAZY FOR YOU AT DABELLS
SPECIAL PRE BEGINNERS
1st:  Wedgebury’s DEMGORTHCAL’S ALLURE
Very nice clean tidy round.  Must surely now be ready to compete at higher level.
2nd:  Burton’s VEEDERHALL RAQUEL AT VONJAMIA
3rd:  Cox’s ZELOVIAK INQUISITION
4th:  Walton’s REMESCA’S CRAZY FOR YOU AT DABELLS
5th:  Layton’s SUPETA’S C’EST LA VIE FOR KAISTART
SPECIAL BEGINNERS
1st:  Burton’s VEEDERHALL RAQUEL AT VONJAMIA
Promising round.  Handler should have more faith in the abilities of her dog.
2nd:  Matthews ARITAUR ELECTRA AT HEATHWAEN
SPECIAL NOVICE
1st:  Hardings TRANSURE LISTON LITE IN HIS TOES
Criteria for this round are more difficult than novice in open competiton, so this duo coped
Well, apart from a slight hiccup in the recall to heel
SPECIAL ‘A’
1st:  Hardings TRANSURE LISTON LITE IN HIS TOES
Again, an exacting round.  This dog completed all of the exercises to a good standard, and
although alone, was a worthy winner.
I was pleased to award this dog and handler Best Overall Obedience.
