Judges Critique – James Wetherall Open Show 09/06/24

MPD (2,3) 1. Brannan & Mycroft’s Supeta’s Boys are Back in Town 6.5 month old. Good debt of muzzle, portraying the wedge shape. Good forequarters and much tighter elbows to 2nd. Still has time to mold into overall body shape to complete the picture. Moved okay.  BPD, BPIS. 2. Hall’s Supeta’s Got to Give It Up litter brother to 1 with similar attributes. Lovely dark eyes. Just a bit more raw than his brother. Moved okay.

PD (2,2) 1. Groves, Lafford & Christenson’s Lateagain Starstruck – lovely head, parallel planes with wedge. At the top end for me re: height and needs time to fill out. Didn’t move aswell as he could. 2. Hall’s Supeta’s Got to Give it Up

JD (3,3) 1. Hickling’s Evalesco Ego Boost – strong head, could do with slightly darker eyes. Well filled and down to elbows. Slightly sloping top line and good rear angulation. Winning the class on his movement. 2. Groves, Lafford & Christenson’s Lateagain

LD (2,4) 1. Seward’s Teuschons The Fierce Knight with Elleonia JW. A very much not overdone male who was still very much male. Head in proportion to body (slightly longer muzzle would finish him off). Dark eye. Ample chest and well filled. Compact and not overdone. Sloping topline that was maintained on the move. BD, BIS 2. Hart’s Supeta’s Scorchio – a much stronger male to 1. but still in proportion. Very masculine head with a good wedge and parallel planes. Down to elbow and kept profile on the move.

BPD (2,2) 1. Cannon’s Sacaria’s Blue 5 month old owner and puppy first show but when they both managed to relax his potential was shown. Prefer his head to 2, wedged and paralleled planes. Tight elbows, moved as one would expect as a baby. 2. De Haaff’s Kreieger’s Limelight 5 month old, well schooled for a baby. Clean head just a needs a bit more muzzle. Tight elbows, bit longer than one but sure this will even up.

BPB (1,1) 1. Beck’s Sacaria’s Blue Jean Baby at Beresha 5 month old. Very feminine head, elbows fine, growing into herself. Lovely little mover for such a youngest.

MPB (3.5) Brannan, Mycroft & Brough’s Supera’s Playing with Fire, 6 month old with a lot of potential. Lovely head in proportion to her short body. Needs time to fill out but has time. Great front angulations and neck flowing into her sloping topline. Moved well. 2. Jervier’s Grafmax Prettiest Star 8 month old. Head in proportion to body, wedge could be a tad longer. Well filed with ample chest. Tight elbows and moved okay. Lost to one as top line not as strong.

Moved a lot better in this class than the previous one. 2. Groves & Hyett’s Lateagain Wish Upon a Star, overall a lot finer than 1 but more compact with sloping topline. Needs some more time to develop.

JB (4,4) 1. Mycroft’s Imids Lady Melody of Supeta – good head, wedge as I would like with flat top, just some flying ears at time. Ample chest and tight elbows.
