Y Cox critique - Memorial Stakes 10/11/13

Thank you to those that entered this class to support the MDC DCM fund, for bringing your dogs under me and my thanks also to the committee for inviting me to judge this class dedicated to the memory of one of the greatest ambassadors of our breed & their health.

1st. Ch. Aritaur Cardinal Red At Jodaseen
I’ve admired this young dog since he was a puppy & it was a delight to go over him. 3 year old standard sized brown/rust with strong, square outline. Good head planes, lively, alert expression. Good length of neck flowing into strong topline. Ample round bone, standing on tight feet. Nice tuck-up with good turn of stifle. Moved straight & true. An ‘honest’ dog shown in fit, hard condition.

2nd. Ch. Remesca’s Perfect Timing At Dabells JW
Another lovely example; this standard black/rust bitch excels in breed type. Ultra feminine head with the darkest of eye, level planes and neat ears. Reachy neck into firm, sloping topline, good angulation fore & aft, well sprung ribs down to elbows, in profile has an elegant outline & good tail set. Close decision between these 2 worthy Champions who were both handled to perfection, I just preferred the movement of 1 today.

3rd. Ebrill Hell Hath No Fury
